Tap Takeover At Laconia Local Eatery

On April 24th, the Kettlehead crew headed over to Laconia Local eatery with 6 kegs of beer to be paired with 6 courses of incredible dishes being prepared by Kevin Halligan & Kaylon Sweets of Local Eatery and our very own Dan Tozier. The chefs came up with dishes that complimented the flavors in each style of beer. The dinner was served in two separate seatings. Nate and Sam talked about the characters of each beer while Kaylon talked about each dish before they were served. We all enjoyed the experience of sharing stories about our beer while watching how much fun people were having tasting the amazing creations from the Local Kitchen. We cant wait for more events with the Local crew!

When considering what beer to pair with certain flavors, its great to keep in mind that hop bitterness, malt and carbonation are great for balancing sweetness, richness and Umami flavors. Beers with sweetness and maltiness are great for balancing spice and acidity. And hop bitterness emphasizes spice.
